Workplace GP launches in the West Midlands to bring affordable healthcare access to businesses across the region
Workplace GP, a digital platform that brings services from multiple healthcare providers together in one employee benefit, has launched in the West Midlands. Plans start from £4 per person per month, with a national rollout planned for late 2026 or early 2027.
The platform gives small and growing businesses a straightforward way to choose and bundle healthcare services for their teams, addressing the cost of comprehensive private medical insurance and the complexity of managing separate benefits.
Through Doctor Care Anywhere, members can access online GP and advanced clinician appointments 24/7. Birmingham-based digital health platform Get Well Soon helps members find and book private specialist appointments, with reduced rates for initial consultations. Essentials and Premium plans also include a confidential 24/7 helpline and structured counselling through PAM Wellness. Clinician-led health masterclasses complete the offering.
Employers use the platform to build a plan and pay a fixed price per employee, with no increases based on usage. Employees access their benefits through an online member portal. Specialist consultations, tests and treatment are paid for separately by employees; Workplace GP is not private medical insurance.
Birmingham was chosen for its community of small and growing businesses and Get Well Soon’s established local network of consultants and private hospitals. The West Midlands launch will inform the wider national rollout.
Ben Flanagan, Founder and Managing Director of Workplace GP, said:
“The size of the business you work for shouldn’t determine how easily you can speak to a clinician. Small business owners want to look after their people, but often lack the time and budget to navigate a complicated benefits market.
“We’re giving them a place to start, with trusted healthcare partners and clear pricing. Birmingham is a natural place to begin, with growing businesses to serve and an established local specialist network to build on.”
